International conference on vernacular heritage, sustainability and earthen architecture

VerSus 2014 | 2nd Mediterra | 2nd ResTAPIA

VerSus 2014 is an International Conference on the Lessons from Vernacular Heritage for Sustainable Architecture. The conference themes are the study of vernacular architecture and its mechanisms for sustainability, the conservation and restoration of vernacular architecture and the potential applications of sustainable lessons of vernacular heritage to contemporary architecture. The conference will take place on 11th, 12th and 13th September 2014, at the School of Architecture of Universitat Politècnica de València. Associated to VerSus 2014 Conference will be organized Mediterra 2014, the second conference of Earthen Architecture in the Mediterranean region, and ResTAPIA 2014, the second conference of earthen architecture conservation in general, and rammed earth conservation, in particular.
The conference programme of VerSus 2014 includes keynote lectures by international experts and the presentation of papers and posters during 11th and 12th September 2014. The 13th September 2014 will be dedicated to technical visits.
