DICAAR has run several activities during the academic year 2024-25 including one international project, educational activities, publications and awards.
Among these was The Legacy of Babylon project, carried out with the University of Nahrain in Baghdad, the University of Karbala and the World Monuments Fund, which focused on historical and archaeological preservation in Iraq through three missions, two practical workshops and a series of lectures for architecture students.
The course Earthen architecture, Building cultures and sustainable development, led by Pier Francesco Cherchi and Maddalena Achenza, engaged students in the Kaira Looro international competition. Three groups were selected and one of them received a special mention, highlighting the quality of the accomplished work .
Finally, the 8th edition of the Full Immersion nella Terra workshop (7–11 July, Serrenti) brought together 26 students from 7 European universities, combining online seminars, practical workshops on building with natural materials and guided tours.
